An outstanding landmark that sets Rottingdean on the map. Seen for miles around from the north and east it stands as a beacon on the hill. We all love it!
** UPDATE **
Our planned major maintenance work on the Mill is due to start in May.
The work, amongst other things, includes the making and fitting of new stocks – the arms which secure the sweeps. These are being made in Holland.
It is anticipated that the works will last about 8 weeks but this could well vary as the work is very weather dependent.
During this time, the Mill will be closed to the public. However, we look forward to welcoming you to the Windmill in the Summer months.
