Christmas at The Grange

It’s been a busy December so far for us at The Grange. Last week Rottingdean Heritage committee members got together to dust off the Christmas decorations and set about filling the rooms with festive cheer before the opening of our ever-popular Christmas Fair. We hosted an early shopping evening on the 1st for our members and stewards. This was a chance to catch up, drink a glass of bubbly and do some shopping before opening to the public on Friday 2nd.

This year we have seventeen local artists and craftspeople displaying their wares. There’s a great range of items on sale so do come and have a look around and maybe pick up a gift or two. Supporting the creative people in our community and buying something unique and handmade is a lovely way to end the year. We are also selling Rottingdean Heritage membership gift vouchers. If you’re struggling to think of what to buy someone, why not consider giving them a years membership of Rottingdean Heritage?

Last Saturday the fabulous Sarah Snow donned her Mother Goose outfit and read a Christmas story to the younger residents of Rottingdean. This Saturday we are hosting Reindeer School and a visit from Santa!

In other news Sue Jones kindly submitted an entry to St Margaret’s Christmas Festival on behalf of

Rottingdean Heritage. She crafted a wreath using her beautiful handmade textile flowers which garnered many lovely comments. Thank you, Sue.

I’d like to also thank everyone for supporting us throughout the year, particularly our wonderful stewards and volunteers who give of their time so generously, we couldn’t do it without you.

Merry Christmas, Folks!
