Janet Cawthorne – Fleeting Glimpse

I have always had a strong interest in the concept of ambiguity. There are always different ways of viewing the same things, whether that is two sides to a story, multiple ways to understand a conversation, many ways to interpret an artwork, and so on.

My recent work has involved a mixed-media process involving both digital creation and manual painting.

It could be said that there is a limit to how minimalist an artwork can be, while still being interesting! However, I am excited to see where this line of enquiry will take me next, particularly as it links two of my passions: art and psychology.
