About This Exhibition:
Laura Callaghan is a mixed media environmental artist based on the Sussex coast, specialising in seascapes, assemblages, and cyanotype works created with beach-combed materials, including ghost gear and recovered marine plastics. Her work has gained national recognition, with a piece personally endorsed by Sir David Attenborough for a marine-pollution campaign with the World Cetacean Alliance. She has been featured on ITV News and BBC Online for her ocean-focused practice, and has served as a featured artist and panel speaker at the United Nations Association Ocean Symposium in 2024 and 2025. Laura also exhibits widely and has curated and co-curated environmentally focused shows along the Sussex coastline, including the recent ‘Living Sea’ exhibition in Worthing.
The Grange Gallery (Rottingdean Heritage) is located on The Green in the picturesque village-on-the-sea of Rottingdean in East Sussex. We are opposite the village pond and The Plough Public House. The exhibition is on a first floor (above Rottingdean Library) and a chairlift is available. Gallery opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10.00 am to 4.00 pm and Sunday 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Admission free.
